This article is worrisome to me. I realize Dennis Prager was being allegorical,
but that fact might be lost on those who do a quick scan of the article. His
half-hearted disclaimer in the last sentence hardly makes up for the
misrepresentations of fact that make up the meat of the piece.
I guess what really worries me about this is that more journalists seem to want
to be opinion writers and opinion writers are getting more and more outrageous
in their claims. Is this the sort of rational discussion that is beneficial for
the expression of ideas?
