As a matter of historical record, no. It is a story, as are the creation
stories in Genesis. But I do believe that a Supreme Being created the
universe somehow.
I believe that the Bible isn’t interested in explaining the hows of
anything, but rather the whys.

Okay, then why, according to the bible, did God create man and, for that matter,
the universe?
