Paraphrasing: "If we don't get our way and deny the defendant his right to a
fair trial in the normal system, we're just going to take him to Gitmo so we get
our way anyway. And don't make us take him to Gitmo because then other countries
will realise what we are up to and refuse to extradite people here..."
oh wait, aren't they going to do that anyway?
Sorry for the source, I'm sure this story is elsewhere too, just no time to dig
