At least 13 Iraqis are reported to have been killed in the town of Falluja
when US forces opened fire on demonstrators on Monday night.

Al-Jazeera television said on Tuesday 10 people were killed and about 70
wounded when U.S. troops fired on a crowd of protesters in the town of
Falluja, 30 miles west of Baghdad, overnight, allegedly in response to the
throwing of a rock. U.S. Army commanders in Baghdad were unavailable to comment.
Over the weekend in Mosul and Najaf, meanwhile, large crowds of teenagers
threw rocks at U.S. troops before being dispersed by warning shots.

| (...) "US troops 'shoot dead two more Iraqis'" (URL) troops today opened fire on Iraqi civilians for the second time this week as an angry crowd in Falluja protested over an earlier shooting. ---...--- -- Hop-Frog (22 years ago, 30-Apr-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)
