Mike, form my POV, if GOD would have given us free will, he'd be the dumbest
creature in the universe... For argument's sake, let's pretend what the
Bible says is true. Free will to the ones who killed his son? To the ones
who disobeyed to him on the very first rule he gave them (don't eat the
apple!), free will to the ones he killed except for Moises and hif family?
The fact that God hasn't yet changed his mind on us after numerous crimes
proved without any doubt either
1-He doesn't exist
2-If he exists, he's dumb or Evil.
Leaving us 2 options:
-Not believing in him
-Praying a dumb or evil God.
I chose not to believe in him. But it's not because I *think* he doesn't
exist, it's because I know for fact how religions are born and develp and
Christian religion isn't any different from the others. It started, grew
and will die like the others.
And humanity will find something else to believe in because, let's face it,
most of us (not me) NEED to believe that they are not alone, that someone,
somewhere, is watching over them. It's a great feeling to believe when you
are in trouble. It's recomforting. It's great for you if you are a
believer. I hope you are living well. I know I am living better since I
stopped believing 7 years ago. I feel liberated. I was scared at first to
let go of this recomforting feeling, I was scared of what a world without a
god would represent. No consequences for the perfect murder after life. No
Hell, purgatory, etc. No heaven for the good people, so what's the use of
helping others?
But I'm helping others more than ever when I can. I'm not evil. I don't
need gods to make me walk staright. I'm a fondamentally good person at
heart, unlike many believers and none-believers. Some are, some aren't. No
after life consequences, we just die, our bodies decompose, our mind is shut
down eternally. Nothing. Heh! That's life! Why care about death when
there is so much to do?
