There has been a lot of talk about post war. I've said I feared we'd lose
the peace if we let the UN bloatocrats and the IMF and World Bank do their
usual. Ditto if we just put in another strongman and don't reform the society.

Kurtz argues that if what is truly desired is a liberal democracy that is
capitalist or semicapitalist, ala Japan post WW II, we are in for a long
haul, ala the British Raj, although perhaps not that long.

Interesting reading whether you agree or not.

Note that it does not deal with whether one should (an open question to me,
notwithstanding Tony Blair's eloquence just now in the news conference) but
more with how one would do so.
