Isn't the basis of your faith a struggle between the good and bad out to
achieve their own goals?
I my world view self-interest is a given. It is the moving force behind
every human action since the beginning.
As I have said before, there's no point arguing with you because there seems
to be an enormous gap between reality and some of the things you claim to
believe. No one is perfect, and people do sometimes contradict themselves --
but you express ideas that either place you in a category exclusively your
own, or you are just trolling for extreme reactions to the nonsense you
often spout.
You and Larry both seem a little "out to lunch" on the whole motive thing:
people do things for a reason.
BTW, I was fairly unhappy about the implications of "un-american" in this
context -- and, interestingly, it is often the pointedly "un-american"
person that often uses the term "un-american." The freedom of open and
vigorous discourse is the first of our rights! And it is very un-american to
agree to stupidities without at least first questioning them, and then
probably rejecting them. I think the founders would be very proud of the
free speech movement today.
