I agree! If the US Mint has the wherewithal to commission 50 new designs
of quarter, it really should take much to scour the religious invocations
from future stampings.
And to address John's frothing over-reaction; no one here is trying to
eradicate God from our culture, since to do so would be foolish and an utter
infringement upon the rights of those who choose to believe. We are trying
to prevent the State from establishing any religion, or from establishing a
lack of religion, for that matter. We object not to religion but to State
establishment of it. To frame the debate in any other terms is to
misrepresent the issue.

When I was a child there was a teacher in my public elementary school who
required us to say grace before we could eat our lunches. No one wanted to
be the oddball, so we all recited together...
