Agreed.

I think that's a lot more doubtful. There seems to be much higher public
support for the flag "that our diggers fought and died for" than there is
for the monarchy*. And then there's the Hawaii precedent.

I wonder how long it would take to take coins out of circulation, assuming
they remained the same size and shape - 30 years+ (I just checked my loose
change, and there were 3 x 1968 20c pieces, in perfect working order).
Of course abandoning the smaller denominations would help a bit too.
