I also noticed there were stacks (10+) of the Megablocks Aircraft • carriers
on a shelf nearby. Not sure of price on those though as i am not really
interested in going to the Darkside :-)

They are $89, they only seem to appear at Xmas.
700 grey bricks....hmmmm.

Hey!  I just realized how long it's been since I've been anywhere
near one of your posts, Pete.  :D

I would imagine, however, that MB has done whatever it can to ramp
up production of these military sets--primarily, I'd gather, because
they're going to become much more popular here in the USA, as military
themed toys do here when military actions are popular.  That bodes
well for those of us who are willing to cross over to the dark side
in our pursuit of grey (we still love you, Richard!), but I'm not
sure it will have any effect on price, or if I'd expect it to have
any effect on availability outside the USA.

   Just a musing...

   ...and what is this about half-price 6291s?  :D  I want!  I want!

Kmart had a Sale on last week, 6291 was $49.50 marked down from $99
But it was very hard to get any, Even in my small town without a large
number of AFOL's i was only able to get 3 copies. and they were the last
three on the shelf.
I have read that in the capital cities it was even worse, if you didn't get
one very early in the week you missed out....
