In tackling the problem of larger builds, K'nex is adopting a different tact
than the late Built to Rule sets.  Built to rule used large heavy pieces that
had to clutch by a single short row of studs, often taxing the clutch of the
build.  K'nex is creating large elemnts now, but to enhance clutch they are
either providing increased stud strings to grab hold (1x16, 1x12, and 1x14) or
producing elements with "super" studs, plates bricks and axels with studs 4
times normal legnth, which resist horizontal separation with a clutch of steel.

Knex has released a new series of 4 large vehicle building sets. How large?, well they use 1x24 and 1x16 bricks! Knex continues reinventing itself and the brick. Prior to this series the 1x2 was their largest one wide brick. This series introduces (...) (15 years ago, 11-Jul-09, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)
