Two years after the Netherlands high court decision making it possible to import
building bricks identical in scale to Lego into Holland, the Sluban company of
Guanjaou has now established a commercial presence on the European continent.
Sold earlier only under local labels, Sluban has now established a distribution
network in the Benelux region and a website, Sluban.com. With MegaBloks court
victory in the Netherlands, and Best Lock's victory in the German courts, and
Knex expanding their distribution market beyond Hasbro U.K. to include Tomy Toys
of France, its beginning to look like TLG is going to have to operate on a level
playing ground in western Europe.
