Re: MB lime green dirt bike

(...) Mine had it on sale (or Rollback, or whatever) for $7.88. It's not a terrible set, with 200 pieces, but it's not great. The main body of the bike, as well as the front fork and whatever the back "fork" is called are each one-piece elements, (...) (22 years ago, 27-Feb-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: Wal*Mart truck clone!

(...) The Wal*Mart near the north of Pittsburgh had four in the clearance aisle, but they were still ringing up @ $14.88. When I bought my copy a few weeks ago, I think they had about a dozen. Dave! (22 years ago, 27-Feb-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  MB lime green dirt bike

At the Keene, NH Wal*Mart, I saw a new MB set-a lime green dirt bike in with the other $10 (US) sets; the go-kart & the yellow & blue high-speed bike. Jeff (22 years ago, 27-Feb-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

(...) Hey, I went back to the Keene, NH Wal*Mart on Tue., Feb. 25, & they still had about 10? sets left. Jeff (22 years ago, 27-Feb-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  New Dragons sets, sort of...

Recently I spotted two new small Dragons tins on the shelves, each apparently including a figure and a siege weapon, either a catapult or a ballista respectively as shown on the label. Also included are some of the rough-hewn 2x4 bricks and possibly (...) (22 years ago, 25-Feb-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

(...) (URL) side mirrors are basically exact duplicates of part 2540: (URL) the red steering wheel, visible through the windshield, is nearly identical to part 3829: (URL) both of these elements were re-written from scratch for the clone library.   Canopies (was Re: Apocryphal Classic Space)

When I see the Mustang in the shops I'll be very keen to see how it would work for minifigs. I'm actually quite a fan of the canopy in the earlier Harrier style jet - it works a treat for minifigs. Barely MOC based closely on the MB model: (URL) MOC (...) (22 years ago, 15-Feb-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

(...) **snip of html link** (...) **snip of html link** (...) An important distinction! Now, if only those &*%$ canopies weren't so hard to render... Dave! (22 years ago, 13-Feb-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: Apocryphal Classic Space

(...) is possibly available in two forms -- one with the canopies described by Dave! and another with a very different, yet extremely cool, two piece canopy that is more curved. The latter canopy is as is seen here, this time in trans-black: (URL) (...) (22 years ago, 13-Feb-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: Apocryphal Classic Space

(...) Thank you very much! My first "dark age" occurred back in the 70's between the ages of 5 and 8. My reintroduction came with set 924/987, so Classic Space has naturally always been a favorite theme. (...) Again, thank you! But the punchline is (...)
