I'm guessing the problem is that LEGO Direct did not have the authority
to release sets under the "Model Team" banner. But that's just my
guess.

Besides the Sopwith Camel and the Red Baron, there are the various Star
Wars UCS sets: the X-Wing, the TIE Interceptor and the Tantive IV. So
I'd say the idea of Model Team isn't dead, although the name may (or may
not) have gone away.

| Dear Jake, Brad and other TLC representatives, I just noticed that Model Team has now completely disappeared from the s@h site. I just wonder why... I can understand that after all the trucks and other cars (okay, there was a boat and a helicopter (...) (22 years ago, 22-Jun-02, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.modelteam)
