Last night (18 December 2002) ABC Nightly News included the usual
holiday segment on frantic parents searching for the season's "hot"
toys, and a LEGO item was mentioned.
According to our crack reporter, the "Life on Mars" (LOM) series is hard
to find. They briefly flashed a picture of either 7303 (Jet Scooter)
or 7308 (Double Hover).
No mention of the short supply perhaps being due to the fact that LOM
was released in 2001, and blown out at clearance prices by about July
of 2002. For anyone whose interest was invigorated by this report,
however, I saw some 7303s at Tuesday Morning (2 for $5) about a month
ago!
