Rosensaft told a national convention of Conservative rabbis, cantors and
congregational leaders at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel that the exhibit,
scheduled to open March 17 and run through June 30, is "not merely tasteless
but morally repugnant."
Titled "Mirroring Evil: Nazi Imagery/Recent Art," the show includes such
works as a "Lego Concentration Camp Set"; a "Giftgas Giftset" of poison-gas
drums bearing the designer logos of Chanel, Hermes and Tiffany; a photograph
of emaciated Buchenwald inmates into which the artist digitally inserted
himself holding a Diet Coke; and the series of starkly handsome Mengele busts.
