Providence Equity’s TDC A/S says LEGO owner bought $7.16 million of shares

COPENHAGEN, Denmark - TDC A/S, Denmark’s biggest phone company, said Kirkbi Invest A/S, the investment company managing the wealth of the owners of toy company LEGO A/S, bought shares for 40.4 million kroner ($7.16 million).

Kirkbi bought 600,000 TDC shares at 51 kroner each and 200,000 shares at 49 kroner each, Copenhagen-based TDC said Friday in a statement.

TDC’s owners, Apax Partners LLP, Blackstone Group LP, KKR & Co., Permira Advisers LLP and Providence Equity Partners Inc., sold shares this month to reduce their holding to less than 60 percent compared with almost 88 percent.
