Last year I was contacted by freelance writer Shari Cauldron. She came out to House of Bricks in 2005 to
spend some time and interview all of us for her upcoming book about folks with
eccentric hobbies. Her book has now been published and info can be
found here.
While I’m not sure what exactly she’ll have to say about our community, she did
have very warm things to say about her interviews and various travels. After
HoB I tentatively asked her, “So what do you think? Are we freaks? Are we
going to be embarrassed by your book?” She replied that our community was much
like the others; passionate people drawn together for friendship and common
interests. So, I anticipate it should be an amusing but kind look at usº. She
is sending me a copy I will review for lugnet in the near future.
