Hey all,

I just caught the very end of an interview with what I believe was the author of the Wired article on Mindstorms NXT on the NPR program The World. It looks like you can listen to their programs on-line, but today’s program (February 8) is not yet posted. He was basically describing the interaction of the company and fans and talking about the allure of the brick. At one point he said that the new Mindstorms would do for robotics what IPod did for music, which I thought was a cool analogy.

At the end of the story they also did a quick blurb about how since LEGO is a Danish company it has been hit by the boycott over the cartoons, but a company rep said it hasn’t hurt their sales. Is there really much of a market for LEGO in the Mid East?
