My friend told me that her essay on the MCAS yesterday, 5/15, (MCAS =
Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment Standard or some'n like that) made
her think about me... because it was about lego. :-)

I asked her for more details and she told me it was about a high-school
girl, who was obssessed with lego, and she did a bunch of lego-related
school projects, and spent all her time building things from lego. Then she
started bugging TLC all the time, asking for a job, etc; and eventually they
told her to send in her resume`, and she got accepted to work there, and now
she builds models. That's all my friend could remember - and that it was
taken from the New York Times.

I think it's cool! And my friend Mimi said that other than the job, it all
overlapped with me, so hey, maybe I should start bugging TLC! ;-)

(...) Sorry, make that the New Yorker. The article name was "Lego". -Shiri (24 years ago, 17-May-01, to lugnet.mediawatch)
