I must admit, I'm a little partial in this as ME has hacked me off a little.
None of ME's response to my 2 messages [1] even begins to answer the text I
quoted. It is still my contention that his post last week [2] is nothing
more than an auction announcement. Just as this one was:
http://www.lugnet.com/trains/?n=3649 - note how he replies to his own post
to include the "sale" URL.
it soon changed to:
http://web.ukonline.co.uk/medwards/12vsale.html
Also this Technic one went the same way:
http://www.lugnet.com/technic/?n=173
I got the 8855.
The quote below is in answer to ME's "This was not a sale!!!"

I had an offer for £90 for the 4559 do you want to continue? (somebody in
the states)

The above is from a message he mailed me 7 hours ago. I'm not convinced
anyone in the US would pay UKP90 for this set. Shipping would take the cost
up to UKP110-130 (~$215). For that price a US buyer could get a MISB copy on
ebay. But that is just my opinion.
Before anyone says it, I know it can be argued that I'm no angel when it
comes to trade/auction posts.
