Anyone who might think that the purple bucket (2494) is an endangered
species, should have been with me on my recent road trip. There seems to
be many purple buckets still in the pipeline. At one K-Mart I counted
160+ purple buckets on the shelf, the overhead, an endcap and just about
everythere. I asked the toy person about them, she just rolled her eyes
and said something like "they just keep sending more of them from the
warehouse". They seem to be almost exclusively found at K-Mart, maybe
just this region, I'm not sure. Some K-marts have them priced at $9.99,
but most at $5.99. I was sorely tempted to back my pickup truck up to
the loading dock at that one store and say "fill er up please" since
that was when I would have gotten two for $9 :) Net sum, I probably saw
close to a 1000 purple buckets at various stores.
If anyone wants these, let me know next time K-Mart goes into sale
mode. Just be prepared to pay the shipping to whereever.
