Hey Everyone,
My wife went to the employee preview of Disney's California Adventure last
night and stopped by LEGO: The Store at Downtown Disney. It was about the size
of a small outlet store, with the usual items. She only took three pictures
(ask me and I'll post them later), but none of the front.
Anyway, for what it's worth, here's the address and phone number...
LEGO: The Store
1585 S. Disneyland Dr.
Anaheim, CA 92802
(714) 991-6512
She didn't see any specials. Everything was at full retail price. She didn't
notice whether or not they had the sculptures, but the boxes for those are so
blase anyway, who would?
Oh, yeah, and she was able to use her Disney Employee Discount, which surprised
me. At full retail, and with no shipping (but with CA 7.5% sales tax), MINUS
the discount she gets (20%), I might just come out ahead in a couple of
items...
Statue of Liberty US$ 199.99
Discount 20% - US$ 40.00
---------------------------------
Subtotal US$ 159.99
TAX 7.5% US$ 12.00
---------------------------------
TOTAL US$ 171.99
Not bad! Wait until the clearance items hit!

| My wife and I visited this store on opening day (1/12/01), and was completely underwhelmed. It was much like the Legoland stores, only smaller. They did have the minifig statues, but nothing special, no clearance. Clearly this is not an outlet (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)
