That policy of no rainchecks stinks. Ames is famous for running their Lego
sales without restocking first, but for such a highly advertised sale that is
set to last for nearly 30 days this policy is very poor merchandising.
As it turns out, the supply at my local store was so low that I decided to buy
all that I wanted while I was there. I guess that was a smart decision even if
one of the boxes I got had much more shelfwear and damage than I care to
accept.
This sale does not have much to offer, though. I did better a few weeks ago at
2 different Ames stores buying several sets during the BOGO 50% sale. Overall
that sale cost me almost $400 but saving of 25% is about as good as it gets for
sales where I live.
Better luck to you next time at Ames.
