I mentioned quite some time ago (before Christmas I believe) that one of my
local walmarts[1] had a large number of Mos Espa Pod Racer[2] sets. They
were at full retail at the time though.
Well, to my surprise and delight, they went on sale yesterday for $50.
Close to half price. Thanks to the wonderful Venture Capital firm of
M.O.M., I bought all of them that they had.
I had never gotten so many odd looks in a store before...it was quite an
interesting experience! But then I've never pushed 4 carts full of Lego
through a store before either.
As we all know, Walmart does not seem to clearance the same things at the
same time between stores. So, you may or may not find this sale at yours.
It wasn't even in the computer yet at mine, I had to have the toy department
person verify it.
This was also the only walmart around here that actually had the set, let
alone a large quantity of them. I asked why they had gotten so many, but
nobody seemed to know.
