1776 is the 950 piece bulk bucket from 1996.
Unfortunately, it's not a very good deal, especially when compared to the TRU
coupon special they just started for the 1200 piece tub ($14.99), even
including tax.
While 1776 has a higher black ratio (if you're looking for black), it also has:
No green, No 1x8's, No 2x6's, and porportionately fewer 1x6's and 2x4's.
Overall, it's about as "basic brick" a set there is.
It's only a deal below $10. I'd start thinking at $8.
The real kicker is the Kay-Bee Toy Outlet near me is trying to sell these
things at $22 each!

| 1776 isn't Duplo (at least not the set I have). The one I have is a blue bucket, slightly larger than the 400 piece blue buckets. And at $11 it's cheaper per piece than $4.99 for a 400 piece bucket which is how I usually get my "bulk" pieces. Mike (...) (26 years ago, 22-Mar-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)
