I received a LEGO January 2008 Catalogue in the mail this week. Indiana Jones
is featured on the front cover. I'm excited as anyone to add these great
looking sets to my collection. The police station and police cars have been
redesigned in blue. I like blue, but I liked the police station and police cars
in black and white. I think the hospital should be blue. The new cargo plane
looks cool. It'll be fun to unload cargo from the plane and the ship. The new
Belville sets have puppies and horses! My five-year-old daughter loves horses.
I'm definitely getting her these for her birthday. The catalogue includes a
couple of pages with pick-a-brick items. I've never noticed that in a catalogue
before.
Some things I noticed missing: there are no Batman sets and no Duplo sets. I
guess that means an end to the Batman theme - too bad. They came up with some
really cool vehicles and minifigs. Duplo sets seldom make the catalogues, but I
really liked the Duplo castles and the Duplo pirate ships. They aren't
available anymore, so I was hoping there would be something new - a western set
would be cool!
