TRU is running a Green Tag Special, 50 percent off event. I do not know if the
event is tied to the news that TRU is splitting the Babies RU and TRU divisions.
All green tag items are 50 percent off even if the item was already on
clearance. Some items are marked and some are not. Untagged train sets for
instance were marked down to half off in my local TRU. Now with the green tag
special, the set is marked down another 50 percent off of $90 or a final price
of $45.
Some items are bargains and some are not. Some sets of the SW and Orient lines
were marked down considerably, other sets in the line were still full price. I
talked to district manager and he said all tagged items were on lists sent down
by corporate and that the sale will last until the items are gone.
