Santa Clara seems odd unless you've lived there. Finding clearance Lego at anything
past 20-25% off is {extremely} rare. It just doesn't last that long. Not to
mention that for the last couple of years, there has been little to clearance, as
the stores are getting much better on inventory control.
There are a LOT of people buying Lego in the Bay Area, and yes, some are engineers,
a whole bunch of adults are (or were, in my case) heavy hitters, and there's still
the normal vast #s buying for kids.
Now that I've moved out of the area, and can find an occasional decent clearance
set, NOW they open a Lego store. Grr.
