Recently a lego kiosk was put up in my local mall. Does anyone else have one in
thier mall. The kiosk  is fairly large and has the basic sets On one side though
I found some amazing things (at least to see at retail) They had the Wright
Flyer, Train Shed (labeled world city?) and the lego legends pirate ship. I
found this all very exciting.Just thought I'd let you know. Too bad It will most
likely be gone after the holiday season. The good part is hopefully they'll get
the new sets in for 2004 asap!

The Staten Island Mall in, well you've guessed it, Staten Island, NY, had a
small kiosk built right across from Walden Books last year around this time. I
believe they got rid of it in January. I haven't been to the mall in months, but
I'm sure they'll bring it back for the holiday season.

Hoping they'll actually open up a LEGO store here...
Joe

I don't know about the kiosks, but I've heard speculation that it wasn't great,
but maybe a few kiosks will be put up by Waldenbooks.

From what I've noticed, all the trains have been grouped into World City.  The
4511 and 4512, the cargo crane and the train station all say "World City".  I
wonder if there is a push to bring the items that evolved from town back into
town/city.  It appears there is a "back to basics" movement, after all--we all
know about Make and Create, and apparently it's been incredibly popular with
consumers.

Joe, your Christmas wishes have come true!  Well, you're gonna have to drive a
little bit.  Paramus Park Mall and Palisades Center are getting new Lego stores,
complete with Pick-A-Brick.  From what I understand, anticipated opening is THIS
WEEKEND (November 7th and 8th)!!!!

(...) The recent Target toys seasonal ad book contains the 4512 Cargo Train but lists it as an "online exclusive" or somesuch. I take that to mean it won't be in Target stores, which will remove the single most consistent source of cheap (...) (21 years ago, 5-Nov-03, to lugnet.market.shopping)
