I would suggest placing an order now for yourself if you want to take advantage
of free shipping. After your parcel arrives, keep the carton sealed and hide
it well--from yourself as well as others--until AFTER Christmas. If you DO
receive a metroliner kit as a gift, you can return the one you ordered.
BUT, before you do this, double-check the return policy for S@H. I am not sure
how long you have to make returns. It is printed on the back of all packing
slips from S@H so you can check an old one if you have one available, else make
a telephone call to S@H to inquire.
This will ensure that you have the opportunity to build a metroliner on
Christmas day; yours will be a present to yourself. It will not reduce the ire
of your spouse, but she may be understanding on this particular holiday.
