The sets lately haven't thrilled me. I only buy sets if I KNOW I'll like the parts. Those 3x3 corner slopes aren't in the picture on the front of the box. OK, I just voted with my wallet - so to speak. Echoing another, it is still a minor and temporary "fix" to this issue. I suspect that TLC is somewhat adrift and lost in its focus. Too bad. It may be old to you, but if everyone stops complaining, TLG might get the idea that the color change doesn't matter anymore, which is far from the case.
