Yikes! I reread some of your experiences and was reminded of how sketchy
many internet businesses actually are -- and there is no doubt that Paypal
ranks high in this category.
Still, there is a convenience factor to be considered, esp. with
international brick dealers.
Prior to knowing any of this, I reflexively and intuitively realized that I
would want to keep a very close eye on the acct. I used for Paypal by
essentially keeping it at around the minimum balance until I need to
transfer funds to it and thereby to Paypal to make certain payments. The
extra time I always ask for when making paypal payments to persons on
Bricklink has everything to do with this procedure. As an additional
convenience for myself, I try to save up several transactions of this type
to process at one time.
Waiting for a payment from me? Don't hold your breath, but you WILL be
paid. It all takes time.
