OK, I am back from Seattle, and I have processed all the paper that was here at
my house. However, early tomorrow morning, I am off to Vegas for a week (still
hoping to fest with someone, but no LV people have pinged me) to do SAPphire
Vegas, then off to Switzerland for an architecture assignment. I won't be
passing through Ada on the way from Vegas to Zurich. The arch assignment could
be only 2 weeks or it could be 4, don't know yet.
Anyway the upshot is that I can't process any inbound paper. That includes,
perhaps, factoring transactions that are in my inbox but which I didn't
process. I concentrated on doing my work at the two clients I was supporting,
and on having some fun with the PNLTC so those factoring requests didn't get
processed. If there are any inbound paper based (checks or money
orders) requests in there, they will be rejected unless they're big enough for
me to convince my wife to cash them. She keeps the money and is really sloppy
about letting me know that she cashed them so expect extra delays.
I might have some time to process some on the plane, or during lulls in Vegas,
can't say for sure. I will have my checkbook with me so can do outbound paper
till saturday next. After that any outbound paper will either have to wait, or
will have to pay a stiff surcharge to cover the cost of mailing from
Switzerland.
I'm happy to say that I have hooked up with the Italians who I will almost
certainly be festing with on the weekend of the 24th. Guess what... that's a
higher priority for me than moving paper and money around. Ditto for the
southern germans who get to meet me probably the weekend after that.
That's the latest status. Watch this space for more.
