Well, I decided to throw up the ldraw parts in the colors I have generated so
far.  I have the entire current parts list generated in the following colors:

black
blue
brown
dkgrey
green
ltblue
ltgrey
pink
red
trgreen
white
yellow

More will probably follow, but I'd really rather find out how to do these with
LDLite (or find out a way to keep them from being chopped off by LDraw) before
I put any more effort into it.

The box these are on isn't a production box of any kind, just a machine I keep
running for experimentation, so don't count on it not being affected by power
outtages, mishaps, acts of God, etc.  If enough people use it I might move it
to a more sturdy permanent location - this was just the easiest place to put
it up semi-temporarily.

Here is the base URL:

http://zelda.ns.utk.edu/mike/lego/vec/

you need to add on the name of the color (listed above) and the part number
<dot> gif.  Like this

http://zelda.ns.utk.edu/mike/lego/vec/red/2489.gif

Now, I'll reiterate - I'd love to be able to do these a) more easily and b)
more quickly.  I'd also like the large parts to not be chopped off like this
one:

And remember, the person who helps me do this (you don't have to do all the
work generating or uploading the images - I have machines and bandwidth to
take care of it) gets $25 in credit at my Brickbay store and $10 from
Larry's.  You'll also have the gratitude of countless other sellers who would
really like to have color images to refer to all in one location, that I will
happily provide a home for.

Right now I'm going to try the little program Leonardo wrote and see if I can
make it work.  If it works for me I'll be really really happy.

(...) Cool. Might be nice to run with shading turned on.. or maybe not. It does add a lot in many cases but subtracts in some. ++Lar (24 years ago, 17-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.cad)

So where do you want my parts ZIPs uploaded to? 15 2Meg ZIP files, unpacked I think they ran about 100Megs. They ARE somewhat out of date, but they're the images Todd uses for the Lugnet database. There's probably several dozen parts by now in LDraw (...) (24 years ago, 17-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.cad)
