We are in the process of adding Lego to our product line for both instore and
internet mail order. Our intent is offer 20% off regular retail pricing plus
shipping. The discount would be reduced for cheaper items because of the work
needed to process an order would eat up most of the 'profit' anyway. We will
both buy and sell Lego products, offering cash or credit for purchases. Our
display will include graphics where available. We will ship world wide and
accept cheques, money orders and Mastercard/Visa.
The offer on purchasing bulk lots would be $5 per pound cash or $7.50 per pound
trade credit with the shipper paying shipping. This bulk lego would then be
recombined to form sets sold at discount and/or sold as $X per yellow 2x4 brick
and $Y per person etc.
Does anyone have any suggestions or comments on this. It is not an ad, just
me trying to set things up right the first time. In lugnet.general I have
already had some suggestion (including one to move the discussion here (sigh).
My desire is to have a good site that is useful to the Lego collecting/using
community and I would really appreciate any thoughts and advice from those of
you who actively shop Lego products. Our site is being reconfigured to include
the Lego and our first order from the distributor is due Monday!

Non-US people would pay nearly as much in shipping as they would get in cash or trade, which kinda rules us out, and even people from the US would get more selling it on eBay (where the buyer normally pays (...) (25 years ago, 23-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)
