Just a quick update regarding my Fokker Dr.1 triplane kits. As of March 27th, 2009 I’m still waiting on one small but crucial package of elements to arrive in the mail. Once these arrive I’ll be able to do the final bagging and sealing of the kits. They missing parts have been in the mail for two weeks and I expect them to arrive any day (they are coming an un-named country whose postal system is anything but fast eh?). Needless to say I will have the kits all sent as soon as this last packet of parts arrives.

With 15 out of the first batch of 20 Dr. 1’s already sold, this is the highest selling initial offering of a single Brickmania kit so far. This tells me there is still very much an interest in my work and I will definitely be doing more as soon as time permits. Special thanks to all of you who have bought this kit because it is your enthusiasm that is urging me on!

I am also pleased to announce that http://www.brickarms.com has sent me some limited edition "gun metal blue" and silver pistols to include with these kits (I’ll randomly include on or the other). BrickArms’ owner Will Chapmen has pledged to continue supporting my kits building activities by including hard to find and even prototype elements in my future kits. This is exciting news, especially with a new line of WW2 vehicle kits I am dreaming about... In any case, three cheers to Will and BrickArms for the support!

For those interested in making more WW1 aircraft models, I plan to release instructions for the Spad S.XIII to Brickmania Instructions Club subscribers on April 1st. I’m not sure how many more WW1 models I will be doing, but that’s probably going to be it for a while, because I have so many other models up my sleeve.

I know it's bad form to respond to your own post, but I want to add that Kit #1 of Batch #1 is now up for auction on eBay: (URL) Any funds sent for advanced purchase through my web site can be applied to the auction. (16 years ago, 16-Mar-09, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, FTX)
