Hey guys. A long time ago, I acquired a large box of 48 sets of 3742 Tender
Basis. Without the Engine Basis or a color pack, these sets are useless to the
average person. I have no use for them, and they have been sitting gathering
dust in my garage. I don’t want them, but perhaps you will.

There is a nice selection of parts there, especially for Train collectors.
These parts are also very saleable on BrickLink. I went through and found the
average price for each of the parts and determined that the value of the
contents of this box, if its pieces were sold separately on BrickLink, is $9.70.
Here is what I want to do. I want to sell these at $4.85 each, which is ½ of
the BL value of this set. Because I have so many and want to see them gone, I
am selling them in lots of 4. So, the cost for one lot of four of 3742 is
$19.40. The cheapest you could find a MISB 3742 on BL for is about $5.94-in
lots of 48. Here you can save $1.09 and only be required to buy four at a
time.
This is a great opportunity for you BrickLink sellers to get a good price on
easily sold parts and for you Train builders to get useful train parts for
cheap.
Shipping weight is 4 pounds. USA shipping will be $9.48 by UPS Ground or $16.35
by Priority Mail. I will ship internationally, just email me. If someone in
the USA buys all 48 of these, I will ship for free.
All 48 of these boxes are MISB, except for the one I opened so I could take a
picture. That box, which pieces are still pristine, will be shipped randomly
with one lot.
