i've been playing with legos for decades now, but just recently stumbled on
this new level of lego pursuits represented by a site like Lugnet.
I am interested in starting to create my own models using various minifigs
and sets. i see that they can be purchased through ebay. is there a
better way to purchase micellaneous pieces? are there any lego conventions?
i find myself longing to go to a convention center that has a
huge room with bins of pieces --like one buys nails and nuts at a hardware
store-- and going around buying up all the bits I need for my future
creations. is there such a thing, or do I need to be content with ebay?
