Well finally! We have built enough sets to start the
TECHNIC Auction. Following is a partial list of TECHNIC/
Expert Builder sets that will be in this auction. I'm
going to start the auction in the next day or so and will
be adding new sets as I build them. If there are any Tech
sets you are particularily looking for you might drop me
an email and if I have them I might be able to build them
and put them in this auction. Also, I have included a copy
of the rules at the bottom of this announcment.
All the sets in this auction are complete and in excellent
used condition. All the sets have the original instructions
which are also in excellent used shape (some are folded). There
are no boxes.
All of the alternates have been built to confirm a complete
piece collection.
If you have any questions, please ask: mailto:tinney@portal.ca
Thanks, Pat.
P.S. I'm providing some annotations to help out a bit. I've
referred to the small working electric motors as motors and
Lego's impression of internal combustion engines as engines.

THE RULES:
Auction Instructions and Rules
------------------------------
This auction is sponsored by Derek and Pat Tinney and Robin Sather of
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
E-mail all bids and questions to: tinney@portal.ca
Please include the word 'Fabuland' in the subject line of any emails.
If bidding, include the set number(s), and your bid in US dollars.
1) This is an Open, Once, Twice, Sold auction. There will be an
open bidding period at the start of the auction. After that
approximately two weekdays of inactivity on a lot will advance
it from one stage to the next. Please note that the status
markers will be as follows: open, once(day1), once(day2),
twice(day1), twice(day2) and SOLD.
2) All bids, payments, dollar values are in US dollars. Minimum
bid increments are as follows:
$1 for items/bids up to and including $50
$2 for items/bids over $50
Withdrawal of bids is strongly discouraged, but will be dealt
with on a case by case basis.
3) Participants will receive daily updates at the least. An update
will also be posted to rec.toys.lego every Monday, Wednesday,
and Friday. All bidders will automatically be included in the
participant list. All others can be added to the list by
emailing Pat Tinney: tinney@portal.ca
4) We are entertaining no trade offers at this time.
5) As lots become sold, we will email the winner with total
payment required. We will then email when payment has been
received, and is waiting for clearance. Finally, we will
email when the package has been shipped.
6) Payment can be made in the form of US or International money
order, bank draft, cashier's cheque, wire transfer, or personal
cheque. Full payment must be received before your sets will be
shipped. We will ship within 1 week of your payment clearing.
It can take up to 30 days for US dollar personal cheques drawn
on US banks to clear, so we will need to wait this long after
receipt of a personal cheque before shipping.
A money order, bank draft, or other 'cash'-like payment requires
little or no clearing, and will ensure that your shipment is
sent to you sooner.
An even quicker method would be a wire transfer from your bank.
As with a money order, there may be a small charge to you to
do this, but the money is transferred securely very quickly.
Contact us for more details about this payment method.
7) Buyers pay shipping from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada to
your location. Shipping methods and costs will be arranged on
a case by case basis. The buyer is also responsible for any other
costs, such as insurance (if desired), and duty.
Canada is not as far away as you think! Here is some sample
shipping info to give you some idea of what to expect. These
rates have been calculated from material on Canada Post's website
(www.canadapost.ca) and are intended as examples only.
Package #1: 1 Medium set, 3 small sets pieces and instructions

padded box.
Package #2: 1 6086 - Dungeon Masters Castle, new sealed lego
box, plus 2 small sets, pieces and instructions in

mail and faster shipping methods are available, of course, at a
higher cost.
8) All shipments will be carefully packaged, well padded and protected
from moisture. The destination address, as well as one of our
phone numbers, will be placed on the outside of the package in two
places (top and end of box), as well as inside the package.
9) If you are not satisfied with your sets, please contact us
immediately, and your payment (less shipping) will be refunded upon

10) We reserve the right to withdraw items without notice, though this
