In the words of Mike Stanley (1).......
"Wonder if eBay will mind me linking to my auction page within my lot
description? I've done it before..."
The way I understand the eBay user agreement, it is ok to link to JABA
(or wherever)
as long as you don't have items on your auction page identical to what
you have up for
auction on eBay.
I put up some blue plates last week and linked to my sale page (it
didn't help sell anything by the way). I made sure the plates I
had on eBay were different sizes than what I had on my page.
Here's part of the eBay user agreement.....
"(g) shall not link directly or indirectly to or include descriptions
of
goods or services that: (iii) are concurrently listed for auction on a
web site other than eBay's "
Not that I'm a lawyer, just my observations :-)

(1) I couldn't reply to this the way I wanted to, received an error
message I'm too tired to deal with. Something about mime (?) encoded
messages.
