(...) No, they aren't. That IS a downside. The upside of that is longer life. Lamps run at 75% of their design voltage ARE dimmer but sometimes can last up to 10 times longer than lamps run at 100%... At least that's what empirical experience in the (...) (...) I had both 4.5V and 12V LEGO lights when I was young. The thing I loved about the 12V lamps was how bright they were. I have been buying 12V lamps, I've been finding them for about what a 9V lamp costs and being a different form factor, they have different potential uses. I'm just going to (...)
