G'day Marc,
Well, I've seen one go on eBay very recently for US$152.50. Let's
just say that I was very hungry for that set! :] It was
actually the 928 non-US version, up for auction by a seller
in Germany (and an excellent seller at that!!). Here's the
item:
http://cgi.ca.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=353438904
If you look at the bid history you'll see at least 3 people had
proxy limits over $100. I beat out someone at $150. And
for interest, I had my limit set to something like $202. Let's
just say I've been looking for that set for a very very long
time..., over 20 years actually! :] So what I was willing to
pay personally and what it's worth to most other people are
probably too very different things. With less than 1 minute
left in the auction the going price was at $82 or so...
The set was complete, all pieces in excellent shape including
the printed and clear pieces, the original instructions were
in excellent condition, and it even had a box in OK shape.
Hope this helps,
KDJ
