Hi Howie.
At this point, and at this point only, I'd say he's right, just because 5835
is older. Yet 2555 is a promotional set, and its rarity will become apparent
starting when the Shell stuff is discontinued. Plus 2555 has two figures,
which is better for playability.
For 5835's high price, I wouldn't pay anymore than $15 - $16 USD MIB for it
now (you judge shipping). And the reason being, that I would need the set to
be "Belville complete", or if I'm adding onto the "dollhouse" subtheme/idea
that Lego put this set into.
IMO, when compared to the earlier years, the 1998 and later Belville stuff
seems to be a bit better as far as accessories (all those little pieces like
fruit, animals, cups, etc.), and the prevalent colors aren't quite as pink.
Just my $0.02.
