Hey everyone,
I finally have *SOMETHING* to report, other than the fact
that it's summer here, for which many of you may feel free
to envy me.
In the December 2002 "Living and Loving" magazine that appears
here in South Africa (and, because it's in English, may appear
in other markets too) there's a promo in the magazine baggie
of a little foam "Bob the Builder" ruler topped with Bob's head,
and the BtB and LEGO logos directly underneath. There's nothing
overtly LEGO-y about it aside from the logo, and it's slightly
weird given that it's a "Health and Beauty for Family" kind of
magazine. The second promo with it is a little package of
dry powder baby formula, which has nothing to do with BtB or LEGO.
Has this thing appeared in Europe anywhere, or in the US? Or
is this South Africa specific? The magazine is printed with a
price only in Rand so it could go either way (editions vs. local).
Also, Afrikaans makes my ears and eyes hurt. It's like Dutch,
only "wrong."
