A little over a month ago I made a purchase on BrickLink from Scott
Johnson's "Used Lego Online" (BrickLink userid sjflmel@cs.com), with no word
from him since. Does anyone know him? Has anyone heard from him? Can anyone
contact him for me? Anyone have a phone number? (Please don't post it to
LUGNET if you do)

-------- The Details -------
I was looking for some semi-rare parts. He was the only US seller actually
selling them. I was a little leary because his feedback hosted a couple
negative responses, all to the effect of "parts were fine, but very slow
service". Not that I mind THAT much if it takes more time-- I just like
knowing what time to allow for.

Anyway, I purchased several items from him on the 17th, with no immediate
response (no problem), BUT I noticed as of the 19th that his shop was
closed. Problem? I didn't know, so I emailed him asking him if the sale was
still on. A few hours later he replied with the shipping fee, etc. Fine. Ok
so far.

The next Monday (the 22nd) I got a money order from the bank, and sent it
out. No word. I sent an email on May 6th asking the status of the payment
and whether it had been received or not, but no word. I checked with the
bank on May 16th, to find out that the money order was processed as of May
6th. Ok. So I sent him another email that day asking him to at least change
the status of the order to "paid". No response. Order's still "ready".

On May 19th, thinking maybe he wasn't getting regular email, I posted a
BrickMail to his account. It's still unread (though his emailed copy might
have been read I suppose?).

Beginning to get a little worried, now that a month had gone by with no word
from him or evidence that he was active in any forum, I sent a message (May
22nd) to BrickLink asking to know if there was any sign of activity from his
account since the 19th. Yup. Apparently he's been on as recently as May 20th.

--------- End Details ----------

What now? I mean, I'm not in any super-rush to get the parts I ordered-- and
if it takes another few weeks, fine. But I guess I'm just worried that I've
been forgotten? Especially since his BrickShop has closed down, and I know
he's still active.

Not to be overly dramatic, but curious-- if worst comes to worst, what are
my best options legally? I'm guessing it's not really worth the legal fees,
but I suppose it may be an option to go to (very) small claims court. Has
anyone had this experience before? Anyone with this seller in particular?
