I just got back from a weekend in Newport News and Williamsburg. I stopped
at TRU in Chessepeake, Newport News, and Hampton. At both of Chessepeake and
Hampton, I found a bunch of older Lego (with the widest selection at
Hampton). The big find was 6079 Dark Forrest Fortress (for $49.95 - not an
earth shattering price, but essentially makes the 10 cents a piece and is a
nice older set - I got a little out of hand and picked up 4), but I also
picked up 6190 Shark's Crystal Cave (marked down to $30). I also found 1843
Space/Castle Value Pack, 6490 Amazon Crossing, and 6031 Fright Force (for
$2.97).
The Hampton TRU had the following older stuff:
Lots of Wild West (mostly 6748 Boulder Cliff Canyon and 6766 Rapid River
Village, but also a couple 6761 Bandit's Secret Hideout and 6765 Gold City
Junction, as well as gobs of 6706 Frontier Patrol). Quite a selection of old
Divers, Aquasharks, and piles of the to larger Time Twisters sets (note that
the largest one is marked down to $50). I left plenty of Dark Forrest
Fortresses...
The Chessepeake TRU had a smaller selection, but still has a bunch of Dark
Forest Fortresses, a fair bit of Wild West, and plenty of the 2 larger Timer
Twisters sets.
All in all, I had a good time (though I wasted a lot of time finding the
stores - especially the Newport News TRU - Yahoo placed it much farther west
than it is...). I also visited several K-Marts, and found lots of stuff
which would have been nice to have found with last weeks sale...
