Dear LEGO enthusiast,
Please forgive any duplicate postings you may receive....
The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History in conjunction with the MIT Media
Lab, Science Museum of Minnesota, the Exploratorium, the MIT Museum, the
American Visionary Arts Museum, and The Lemelson Center cordially invite you to:
MindFest: A Festival of Playful Invention and Exploration.
August 25th, 2001 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The Museum is hosting this celebration for hobbyists, inventors, tinkerers,
educators, children, researchers, artists, engineers, parents, - or anyone with
a curious or playful mind.
Of special interest, at 9:15 a.m., Michael Anderson of LEGO will be unveiling
the new LEGO MINDSTORMS 2.0 SDK.
To quote Mr. Anderson,
"In connection with the launch of the new version of LEGO MINDSTORMS ROBOTIC
INVENTION SYSTEM 2.0, a new SDK is also being made available to the large and
growing community of LEGO enthusiasts that want to explore the system even
further and use it to the fullest.
In this talk I will give a historical overview of SDK development at LEGO; I
will outline the contents and demonstrate the new and greatly enhanced
capabilities of this SDK."
This is a late breaking addition to the extensive offerings of Mindfest and it
should prove very interesting for those of you who currently are familiar with
MINDSTORMS.
For more information, check out the MindFest web page.
