I'm in Cincinnati.  I missed the last get together because it was in
Cleveland.

Too summarize.

So far we have the following people who've expressed an interest:
*LegoMasterLuke (BTW, I assume your name is Luke?!?)
    Gino A. Melone
   *Tiffany Vincent
   *Adrian Drake (way cool name)

Thanks.  I'm rather partial to it myself :)

Where exactly are the asterisk'd people from?  I'm from Cleveland, but I have
no idea where the other two are from.  Here's the reason I ask.  I have a
fairly good sized house, which has a family room that would be very good for a
BrikWars campaign.  I'd be willing to host, but I doubt people are going to
want to drive to Cleveland for this, since a majority seem to live in
Columbus.

I think I met a couple of you at Carolyn Cheney's place a couple of years
ago.  I was the guy with the family (wife and, at the time, 1 daughter) who
dropped the cool space fighter and broke it into a handful of pieces.

Don't you hate it when that happens?  I dropped my technic scale P-51 before I
had taken pictures of it, and it busted into quite a few pieces.  It took me
hours to put together.  That's a severely annoying thing to have happen.

We seem to have an interest in an ongoing BrikWars campaign.

Indeed we do.  How deep we delve into the campaigning levels of BrikWars
remains to be seen.

There seems to be a consensus that we should have a fairly informal first
stab at a game.  We shouldn't be too concerned with genre consistency and
such.  Or for that matter, storyline.  Why a re mech's attacking a medieval
castle?

Consistency?  We don't need no steenkin' consistency :)

Any other thoughts anyone wants to share?  I'm thinking we should post an
anouncement of our event in the other lugnet.loc.oh.* groups.  Maybe in the
gaming group, too.  Objections?

Since the date of April 15th is faily well settled (I think) aside from one
person who may not make it, the only real issue right now is where this'll
be.  Do any of the Columbusites have a house big enough to host 5-6 people and
all the Lego?  Will we have to rent a place?  If the latter, how much will it
cost and who will pay for it?

Tiffany, I don't think that we ever actually had that meeting in Cleveland. It was supposed to be at my place, but we never settled on a date, and then everyone got busy with the holidays and such. Now I have a job that requires working the (...) (25 years ago, 8-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.us.oh)
