I had to chuckle at the James E. Strates train cars parked there in Binghamton.
CSX has always had problems with their cars breaking down and causing all
sorts of problems on the main lines. They tend to spend long periods parked on
a siding until they're repaired and up to the satisfaction of the line owner.
They're really shabby inside, and the carnies that inhabit them must really
love the ride. I see them parked in Syracuse and Rochester when they come to
town too.
However, they represent classic pullman designs, and are neat to model in those
colors.
